Episode III Recap

The episode begins with Lydia up before dawn gathering firewood, making sure the tribe knows she is working and that they made the correct decision at the last tribal council. At this point it's fairly clear there is some tension between Lydia and Brianna. Meanwhile at Nakum a howler monkey is lost close by camp and is making it very difficult for the tribe to get any sleep, particularly Judd.

For the first reward challenge the tribes have to gather materials to build a tent. The trick is they will be blindfolded until they have all of the pieces. Yaxha gets all of the pieces first but struggles with construction Nakum catches up and eventually wins the prize, blankets, lamp, oil, and tarp.

At Nakum's camp some of the tribe is pretty depressed most of all Stephanie. They are also pretty depressed about the lack of food the mashed corn they have been eating for seven days has made Rafe and Gary start eating termites. At Yaxha the some members are having a hard time with the heat and decide to cool off in the crocodile infested waters, luckily nothing happens. They then try to use the tarp to improve their shelter. Margaret takes a lead role much to the dismay of Judd and Bobby Jon.

The immunity challenge consists of a version of an an ancient Mayan game similar to basketball. Nakum takes an early three point lead. When Stephanie is playing with Lydia and Brianna she asks them to run a play they have no idea what she means and her team loses the round as result of poor playing and lack of athletic ability. Danni scores the last point winning the game and immunity for Nakum. This is the fourth challenge and second immunity victory in a row for Nakum.

Back at camp for Yaxha they realize Amy's ankle is sprained. However it's Brianna and Lydia who are in the most danger due to their poor performance in the immunity challenge. Before going to tribal council it's Brianna who makes a last attempt to save herself by appealing to Stephanie for help.
