As a child Margaret and her 8 sisters moved around a lot so they never had a home town for long. They did spend many vacations in New York and New Jersey and she currently lives in Saratoga Springs.

Margaret studied nursing at the University of Charleston and West Virginia University. She works as nurse for 16 years in Aeromedicine, and then returned to school in 1998 to Case Western Reserve University to complete her education. She currently works as a nurse practitioner in Ohio.
